I have an assembly in SolidWorks. I have also defined coordinate systems (CS) for each of the parts as CS1, CS2 etc. Is it possible to find out the rotation matrix between CS1 and CS2 when I rotate the parts?
I am not sure I understand your question? Can you add a screen shot of your assembly? I don't understand what you mean by "rotation matrix" Tom
What i meant by rotation matrix is that (in simple way) I want to find out the angle between all the axes. That is the angle that X axis of coordinate system 1(CS1) makes with x,y and z axes of CS2, Y axis of CS1 makes with x,y and z axes of CS2 and similarly for Z. The cosine of these angles form the rotation matrix
You can get this from the API, but you will probably have to write some code.
