    Solidworks 2007 Suddenly Crashes

    Scott Jones

I am new to this forum and have only been on it to research and learn.

This is my first time coming to all of you to help with a current issue I'm having.

I have been running Solidworks 2007 SP2.2 on my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit system.

           - AMD A4-6300b APU with Radeon HD Graphics 3.70 GHz

           - 2GB RAM

I have not had any issues with the program until about a week ago.

When I startup the program it immediately closes.

      Error message:

      Sld has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program with no resolve.

      Please help ASAP!!!

Try uninstalling clearing registry and then installing. If that doesn't help clean instal of windows again will help.  But truly you should work on newer software. SW 2007 wasn't made for windows 7 and i believe its 32 bit on 64 bit system.  All of these are not big problem becuse it still worked , but truly there could be so many possibilities.  Your company should do some upgrades. First get some better machine, newer solidworks, and for one you wont have problems as it will be vendors resposibility that everything works plus SW will be faster on better machine. Or atleast add some real graphic card and more ram. Your integraded graphics use your ram which is mostly used by system.

What has changed on your system since a week ago?

What Windows Updates or other software updates have been done on your system?

            Cheers,
