Hi all,
Here's a 3D geometry creation challenge... At least for me. Hopefully not for you.
This is a rectanglar plastic shell that needs an area debossed. The area wraps around the corner of this soft rectangle. I need to control the edges of the debossed feature to remain parallel with their repective midplanes. I tried projecting three discrete sketches onto each "face" (top, right, front...) keeping the endpoints of the sketches aligned and tangent with the other two, but I had trouble with that - and even if I wrestled it to work, I think there is a better way. I am wondering if 3D sketches can help - something I have zero experience with but want to learn.
Anyway, take a look and let me know if you've done something like this before and if so, can you provide me with some tips / hints on how to achieve this?
Thanks!
-Nate
Here are two different ways.
P.S. version 3.2 doesn't have all fillets.
