Hello all,
I am a novice solidworks user -- I literally started using it yesterday. I work for a company that lasercuts many of its own parts. It would be nice to be able to display the minimum blank of each lasercut part in the BOM. Is this possible?
My alternative is to add a custom property, say, "Minimum Blank", and manually enter the amount for each item.

The Bounding Box Area-Blank is indeed what I'm looking for. I was able to locate it in the "Cut-List Properties", which appears to be separate from the general summary properties. I'm not sure how to make this property appear on the BOM. Any ideas?

Check the video by Alin here and then you can create an equation using those dimensions to get the desired value. Then link a custom property to that equation.
I see how that could work, but would I have to go through that process for every part? It seems just as tedious as copying the bounding area from the cutlist properties to the summary properties.
