I want to know if what I am doing is correct?
I would like to simulate a stream of water coming into a Tank which is already "Filled" up with the same kind of Fluid. (in my case here is Water)
What I imagine flow simulation to be doing normally is that:-
The stream of water simulated, is coming into an Empty Tank.
What I believe which (I could be totally wrong here) is:-
The stream of water would act different should there already be Water pre-filled inside the Tank.
To emulate this, do i create a Fluid Subdomain of the same Fluid inside of a Computational Domain and simply run the analysis? Or is there an option whereby i can suggest that the Computational Domain is already filled with water??
Never done this... but I would imagine you could put a surface on the top of the liquid dividing the liquid and air and insert a fluid subdomain for whichever fluid isn't your default. Make sure you deselect the surface between the air and the fluid from the component control though so it doesn't interpret it as a wall.
