I have created a slotted area for a dowel to move through. As seen in the picture the dowel is in a road and the outside circular casing moves around the rod and maneuvers around the dowel. i formed the patter on the casing using the wrap feature. I have tried creating a path with the same feature by scribing, but it would not show up on casing. This is because it was "cut out" when I debossed the slot design. I have tried doing the scribing then the debossing, didnt work same thing. When I draw the path lines with center lines it allows me to wrap it, but if I try with regular lines it wont allow the wrap, because of open contours. The center lines are not visible for me to have the piece follow it.

I have tried a slot mate, but it is not allowing me to do it, because there is no edge or face for it to mate. Any help would be appreciated.
