Solidworks 2011 SP0, crashes when creating a new plane

Question asked by Maxwell Hormilla on Jun 23, 2014

First time posting for me here. I just started having an issue with my pretty much otherwise problem free install of solidworks, well up untill now (Going good for 18 months plus on this new setup). When I go to try and create a new plane in an existing model or new model solidworks crashes. I have done a "total" uninstall and then a fresh install as posted as the solution elsewhere. I have also tried upgrading video drivers. All with no luck. I am runing windows 7 pro 64 bit and my version of Solidworks is 2011 Sp 0. PC is a intel i7 8 core, 64 gigs of ram, 256 GB PCIe SSD, and a Nvidia K5000 video card with driver installed in windows for it (Certified by Solidworks). I am pretty sure hardware resources are not the issue. I am thinking one of the latest windows updates may have gotten me... I don't want to start removing updates unless I have to. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
