I'm using SW2011 SP 4.0 x64.

I have different configurations of an assembly for which I am using to show different assembly stages of a product. Each configuration has a drawing with a BOM showing the parts required for that stage.

I am runnning into problems when in a drawing for Configuration 1, I want to include just parts A1 and A2 of a sub-assembly A which has 4 parts.  I select remove from BOM, I've tried doing  it from both the configuration of the assembly and from the BOM in the drawing. The BOM then displays A1 and A2 of the dissolved sub-assembly ( I'm using Parts only in the BOM type). All looks good, close drawing.

I then work on a drawing for Configuration 2 which needs A1,A2,A3,A4. I untick Exclude from BOM for A3 and A4. BOM displays correctly , close drawing. Close Assembly file.

Open the drawing for Configuration 1, all the parts now display!

Is there some issue with excluding parts in sub-assemblies in drawings across multiple configurations?
