I AM LOOKING FOR A WAY TO ADD DIMENSIONS FOR A SKETCH. I USED THE LINEAR PATERN TO DRAW THE SKETCH, BUT I WANT TO ADD THE DIMENSION FOR THE REPEATED SKETCHES AUTOMATICALLY. IS THERE ANY WAY TO DO THIS?
Do you actually need dimensions or do you just want the sketch fully constrained? All you need to do to constrain the sketch is put a horizontal relation between 2 of the triangle tips.
THANK YOU JAMIL,
ACUALLY I'VE DONE THE RELATIONS (VERTICAL & HORIZONTAL), BUT THE PROBLEM IS WHEN I CHANGE THE ANGLE SHOWN IN THE ATTACHED SKETCH, THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE TWO PRISMS CHANGES AS WELL. THE ONLY WAY I FOUND IS TO ADD THE HORIZOTAL DIMENSIONS BETWEEN THE POINTS (WHICH IS 5mm IN THE SKETCH). SO DO YOU KNOW ANY OTHER WAY TO FIX THE HORIZONTAL DISTANCE?
I see what you mean. When you are creating the pattern you can check the box for "Dimension X Spacing" and it will add the dimension automatically. You will still need to add relations to keep the patterns horizontal.
Thank you Jamail. I tried this but no dimensions have been plotted.
Window select the sketch and then right mouse button and select the Fully Define Sketch.
