hei'ya Reno, you can RMB anywhere in the
command manager and activate "selection filter",
to go thru various selections,
and see "Quick Snaps" possibley
hope this helps- have a good'n kelef
edit: F5 toggles on/off
F6 toggles active selection
You can also press the G key and you will get a magnifying glass that you can use to zoom into your selection.
There are also Snap settings under System Options > Sketch > Relations/Snaps
Filters also help with Selections
The snaps and filter don't seem to help with selecting lines to add dimensions. The vertical edge of the cursor and or the point have to be directly over the line or point i want it to snap to. Makes no difference if i zoom/ magnify because its a vector line. that only helps if lines are close together. Is there any way to make the cursor less accurate and able to snap to the target from a distance 1/16" 1/8"... Autocad had a box that you could adjust the size of, anything in that box was a target to snap to.
Also another issue i have found is detailing weldments such as 3x3x0.25" square tube. The edge of the tube has a slight radius and if not zoomed in far enough it wants to snap to an invisible line that seems to be the center of the radius, in an elevation it's a useless snap point that never needs a dimension unless in a section.
Thanks for your help
