Can someone tell me why the feature (rain drop) I use to create a circular pattern does not completely surround the revolved? This part was created with SW 2013
alternately, you can check the geomerty pattern option and it fills in the missing one.
Your part comes in as 2014 not 2013?
You are correct, sorry I did create this in 2014. Thanks!
Edit Boss-Extrude1 and un-check the box for "Merge result". Next delete your Circular Pattern and start a new one, this time choosing "Bodies to Pattern" instead of "Features to Pattern". Then use the "Combine" feature if you need it to be all one body. The screenshot below is for a Linear Pattern, but it works the same for Circular Patterns.
Glenn, When I select bodies to pattern and then select boss-extrude 1. Boss extrude 1 automatically gets placed into features to pattern box and not in the bodies to pattern box.
thats because boss-extrude 1 is a feature. select the body from the bodies folder or the graphics area.
When you start a new pattern, Features to Pattern will be selected by default. Click on the gray bar where it says "Bodies to Pattern" instead to show the blue box below it, as the screenshot shows, then select Boss-Extrude1.
Jeremy is right. You will need to select the body from the graphics area or the Solid Bodies folder and not the tree, but you will also need to have "Bodies to Pattern" selected first.
