Hello, fellows!
I'm trying to unfold a cylinder with angled cut. I tried different appoaches creating it, but none of them allowed to convert it to sheet metal and unfold.

hei'ya Victor, welcome to the forum,
see if the att.prt file is of use to you
hope this helps- have a good'n kelef
Thank you, Kelef!
How do you calculate angles for sketched bends?
And what if we take a bigger angle, for example 270 degrees? Or even 720, like stip rolled several times over a cylinder.
hei'ya Victor, use "PI*d" to work out the circumference,
or use variables to calculate relations,
or if possible direct features>boss/cut extrudes,
each condition or end goal may need a different approach-
and sometimes what works is right
see att.prt file ex. for a ribbon /pipe,
hope this helps - have a good'n kelef
Victor,
Try the attached file. Sheetmetals require straight edges or faces. If you need developed flats you will need to be creative.
The file as a minute straight edge left in place. For most sheetmetals this will do.
