What about the swx benchmark? It is the standard. Have you searched the forum?
Otherwise spec apc might be another one.
Otherwise there is no specific benchmark for just solidworks' use if hdd. You'd need to build one.
Generally the assumption is that the limitation of operations that require hdd is the hdd and therefore any hdd with better perf under general conditions will result in better swx perf. This precludes that CPU and ram are not being exhausted and that there isn't something in the swx API call that limits CPU usage. There are lots of discussion on this in the forums and swx kb.
Also as you are working with Intel. They should have corporate contacts that can give you internal tools for testing.
