I just recently started with a new company and i pretty much have carte blanche with the document control process (blank check but no real check [meaning no funds] i might add). I started using WPDM and i must say i am mostly happy with it. I also need to implement a paper (or possibly pdf) documentation process. Anyone have a documentation/checkout process that works well for them?
I agree with you regarding WPDM - it's not bad considering the price.
As far as the doc process is concerned, just be careful that nothing in it provides hints about getting around behaviors you set up in WPDM Admin. A lot of the content in a successful doc procedure depends on the product lines being documented.
