Removing feature colors

Question asked by Tyler Naegle on May 21, 2014

When I create a assembly model from a .bdf file, is there a way to not populate any colors on the board?

For example, in settings.png, it shows 'Color electrical components using:' with only two options. What I'm trying to figure out is either a way to populate the board without any colors (besides maybe solidworks default gray), or, after the .bdf is build into an assembly part, to quickly remove all the colors.

From experimentation, I found that the colors are applied at the feature level (so if circuitworks made a boss extrude of a part, it would color the part.) I can go in and click every single feature and remove the appearance, but I'd like a way to do that to all of the colors.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

  Tyler
