In our company we bend a lot of various parts but mostly we bend round parts. I will start off with a blank of the part, then I will add constraints to make the part bend exactly as i want it. When i measure the part along the center line of the blank it actually grows sugnificantly. Most of the time the part will grow in length by over an inch. Solidworks is actually adding material to bend the part which makes for an inaccurate bend representation. Is there a way to keep this from happening? I have temporarily fixed this by adding an extruded cut after the flex command and linked the value to the original blank length but this seems like an unecessary step. I can attach an example but i'm sure anyone can reproduce this.
