i have two part sizes that are seprate colors and i have multiple configurations of each size. since the color of the part wont change i want the display state to be linked to the configuration but it makes a separate display state for ever configuration and when linked to configurations and i cant use the same display state name. Can i have one display state used on multiple configurations when linked to configurations?

For example i would have 2 sizes say 2.00" and 4.00" with configurations named config1-2.00, config2-2.00, config3-2.00,... and config1-4.00, config2-4.00, config3-4.00,... and i have two display states named red and blue. i want the red display state for the 2.00" sizes and blue for the 4.00" sizes.

The only workaround i can think of is to have display states named red1, red2, red3,.... and blue1, blue2, blue3,... but i am worried about file size and load times.
