I'm logged in, and click on "support". then it asks me to login. I do, and them it sends me right back where I started.
It seems every link you take, you end up in a endless loop.
I can't even figure out how to get to the enhancement requests.
1) The login page on solidworks.com was updated to have the default link go to the Customer Portal.
2) You will notice a direct link to MySolidWorks and Technical Support on the top menu of the forums.
We are looking at ways to make this even simpler and easier to navigate.
Thanks for the feedback.
Hope this help.
Works OK for me. Here's a direct link to the Customer Portal...
When you say you are logged in, do you mean to MySolidWorks ? ... and you then click on Technical Support ?
When or if you get to the portal, save it as a bookmark or favourite.
I know exactly what you're talking about! Case in point, I was logged in through the customer portal (now MySolidWorks). Had to hunt to find the forums. When I did I clicked on your message. When I looked, I found that I was not logged in. Clicked the Log In button and it logged me in. At least I wasn't stuck in a loop as you described. I've often found that this whole setup is rather poor. Too often they make selections available to you only to find that you have been logged out by following the links.
Still struggling to find my enhancement requests, and SPRs.
Everything I click on takes me to another page, and I have to sign in over and over again...
Somebody has never heard of the KISS principal.
Can you tell me where you are starting from?
Then I can help.
Still having trouble getting around.
I'm trying to find the "what's fixed in SW2014 SP5".
I'm logged in to the https://forum.solidworks.com/welcome page.
I click on the "Tech News" link, and it takes me to the download page https://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/downloads.htm for the update, not a news article.
I click "log in" and get kicked to this page
Of course, I'm not logged in to that page. So I log in again to customer portal.
And pretty much end up back where I started...
This whole thing needs to be streamlined. There should be one login for the entire Solidworks site...
Gave up on finding the fixes for 2014 SP05
Go back to the www.solidworks.com
It used to be easier to find, I believe it was on the download page. 2014 SP5 SPR's have been posted very recently, I think today or yesterday.
It's well hidden ;-) http://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/solidworks-support.htm then select the "Known/Fixed Issues*"
Yea. I did finally realize it was right there.
I would think the "Tech News" link would have a link to it or something too.
In the old interface (what you see when you're on the system requirements page for instance) it used to be on the left side of the webpage and visible when you clicked on "technical support" that now leads to a new page, that has the menu's on the right side of the interface... It's a bit confusing not all pages are updated..
And I think the SPR list was also available on the download page as a link.
