Hi'
I'm modeling a truss that is made of pipes.
There are main big pipes, and smaller ones that are welded to the big ones in an angle.
The a smaller ones are cut to shape at the end in order to fit exactly to the big ones.
I need to produce a 2D drawing of the end of the pipe so the CNC machine can cut it.
Actualy I need to "unfold" the pipe and then make a drawing.
I'm attaching a part file (SW VER14). see that the small pipes are already have a slot so they can be unfolded.
This a link for a CNC pipe cutting machine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vccX7VfWCko
My question is.
How do I do it?
Thanks
Doron
Hi Doron,
In the Feature Tree select one of the pipes, Right click and select save to new part.
This opens up the part in new screen go to sheet metal and select inset bend and select one of the long inside edges.
Then you can select flatten to get your flat pattern.
Thanks
