I draw all my parts symmetrically (center the part origin, extrude mid-plane, etc), but I would love to be able to define the parts CNC origin (i.e. specific corner) that I can view and validate in all files (part, assembly, and drawing). I want to: * Verify part orientation in assembly with regards to part machining origin. * Ensure part drawing is dimensioned from proper machining origin. I have worked around this issue in the past by simply adding a hole cut in the part at the origin and deleting when part drawing is complete, there has to be a better way.
Add a user-defined reference CSYS? Not positive if it will give you the functionality you're looking for but sounds like it might. 3D sketch a point and set the CSYS ref at that point, you can orient your axes how you like. You can turn on visibility through assembly, and the sketch point can be dimensioned to in a drawing.
