Hello, just started with a new company, have very little personal experience with solidworks. Currently trying to set up the Routing Library Manager to reference templates and sources that was used by the company before. Unfortunately the employee who created the custom library left so I am having difficulty finding the appropriate paths for the previous routing template, I have managed to reroute the library to the appropriate place. Is there any way to select a route assembly constructed in an older model and determine which template was used for it so I can locate the appropriate template?
Thanks,
Spenser
Spenser, Solidworks doesn't track template usage on its own. Your best bet is to have IT log you onto your predecessors machine using his account, so that you can review his routing configuration settings.
Even if his account doesn't exist any more, you might be able to get at his settings by
searching his machine for a file callled RoutingSettings.sqy
This will contain his path and library infromation.
If they went to a lot of trouble to create the library, then they probably made a back-up of the settings so that they could migrate them to a different machine if needed.
