    Flow in a Tee Piece

    Kevin Sharpe

I have set up a steel tee piece model and I am trying to look at stresses generated in it but first I have set up the fluid flow through it. My question is how do I set up the model to allow outflow from both outlets of the tee piece? It appears that Solidworks will only aloow on outlet at a time. Thanks for your time people.

You are probably using FlowXpress which allows only for one inlet and one outlet.

You could hypotheticaly bypass this by modeling both outlets as a single face. Basicaly have a thin surface running from one outlet face to the next. The flow on the connecting surface should be minimal, sort of like a small leak. Of course this will require some cleaver surfacing as both outlets and the connecting surface have to made from a single face.

          Good luck
