I have an assembly which has a subassembly also. And in that subassembly, I want to take a part's sketch dimension to the drawing of main assembly.
When I am trying to make custom property from main assembly, It gives me an error.
Create an equation and link that to the dimension you want. Then link the custom property to that equation
Thank you. Should I make custom property in drawing also to do this? I can't link property in drawing.
Not required, use link to property option
Thank you. I asked this because, I can't find custom property I made in assembly to use in drawing section.
Use any option other than "current document"
just click "model in view to which the annotation is attached" , now you have selected current document, current document is your sheet property.
Thank you very much. I figured it out.
Let me ask you another question. Can I take specific word in a sentence. For instance, "driveworks section 8 asm" in this sentence, I need to take the value of "driveworks" and "8".
I am asking this because, I need to make pack and go of this assembly too much time. And there are certain things I need to change. So I want to make notes in drawings can be adaptive to this changes. Right now, dimensions of parts are allright.
