Design table in part template question

I would like to create a Design Table template with the custom properties added for configuration-specific custom properties. I tried creating a template with the fields started:

$PRP@PARTNUMBER

$PRP@TITLE

etc. (see attached)

The problem is that the table doesn't automatically fill in with the sketch properties of the part "D1@Sketch1, D2@Sketch1, etc."

I would like to have this table in the Part template to make it foolproof for the engineers who are just starting to learn design tables

If I create a new part from scratch and used the auto-create, the table wizard gives me a list of dimensions I can add to the table. Is there a way to refresh the table to insert the dimensions?

You can put columns for D1@Sketch1 and D2@Sketch1 in the design table template, if you want. Or, if you don't want to use a template file and instead want a prompt to add any dimension, you must edit that dimension and choose the "This DImension" option.

That's what I'm finding out, double-clicking on the dimension while the table is open adds the dimensions for me. I was hoping for an automated feature similar to when you first create the table using auto-create that lists the dimensions that can be added to the table.

I mean double-clicking on a dimenison before the table is inserted.More than one configuration has to exist when you double-click a dimension in order to get the "This Dimension" option. Once you set that for any number of dimensions, they all will be included in the design table when you create it.

I am not saying this is the best workflow, but it does meet your specification.
