assembly failure

During motion analysis parts of my assembly either dissapear or start moving differently than during basic motion and animation. Any ideas?

disappear > do you have any visibility keys in your simulation? what happens if you make a brand new simulation and just turn on gravity?

moving differently > somewhat to be expected considering it is a more powerful solver. how many redundancies in your assembly? does your assembly drag very smoothly in your assembly mode? how does it move differently? can you post some videos
