Sorry for the silly questions,
This flange was not made by me. I'm just trying to make the same type of flange with a 45 deg cut but I can't figure out how.
hei'ya Sammy, you just use a normal chamfer,
or extrude cut,or change the flange profile-
depending on your preferances or work flow practices,
hopes this helps- have a good'n kelef
Is this how to go about it:
1. Make an edge flange,
2. Edit its sketch and add the 45 deg line to cut it?
hei'ya Sammy, yes, that's one way,
it can be easier just to use the chamfer tool,
but it all depends on the design intent,
try the different ways to see which u
prefer and if later in the design it isn't what
you feel works for you use another one that works best
for you, as I say, you can also use extrude cut or even
another surface, plane, part...
SW usually has more than one way to get a result
good luck- kelef
Thanks for the help.
I am not new to 3D. I have been using Inventor since it started and I'm usually thinking the way things are done in Inv. That's why I'm having a hard time with Solidworks.
Thanks again for the help.
no problem Sammy, we've all been thru the mill,
that's why these forums are such a good source,
sometimes other eyes and ways are a good
sounding board or someone else has had that
same situation and resolved it before
keep at it dude- have a good'n kelef
Appreciate the help
