Is it possible to change the color of a detail circle?
Yes it is. You can set it to a desired Layer at Tools > Options > Document Properties, and I'm pretty sure you can also change one individually by clicking on it to highlight it and then changing the color by selecting a Layer with the desired color, or with the Line Format toolbar.
For anyone else having this issue, here's how I got it to work:
I set up a new layer with the color I wanted for the detail circle.
Then I added detail circle to that layer.
At first it wouldn't work. I finally got it to work by toggling the layer view on/off and clicking on the line style and thickness settings in the layer properties.
I still can't change the color. Can anybody describe the process step by step?
I agree....it doesn't seem to work fully:
I can get the circle in the parent view to change....but the border in the child view won't change.
I'm pretty sure the detail view outline will follow the color setting at Tools > Options > System Options > Colors > Drawings, Visible Model Edges. To be honest I'd never paid much attention to it, since I have them turned off (I really like the Jagged outline option).
