Hi all, I am new to this forum and pretty new and solidwork and now I am takeing on CAMworks. Anyway my question involve assemblies, configurations, and layouts. I am designing custom RV trailers the all have a basic floor plan and I have been using configuration to change the floor plans for custom trailers, which seems to work ok. My question is can I make configurations of the various piece and lay them out as if they were on a 4'x 8' sheet to be used in CAMworks and cut on a CNC router. I hope I have given enough iformation here for you to get the jist of what I am trying to accomplish. Thanks for your help.
Hi All,
Apparently my question was not very clear, or I am trying to do something that no one is familliar with. Anyway, I am going to take another stab at it. I have a trailer assembly with all of its varios cabinets etc... I want to make configurations based of of this assemble and layed out as they would be on a sheet of substrate to be put into CAMWorks and the various peices cut out on a CNC machine. I have been able to acomplish this on individual assemblies, but not on an assemblie mabe up of sub-assemblies. I can suppress all of the pieces I do not want on the configuration but I can not suppress the mates of the sub-assemblies of the parts I do want, is there away around this? or some other means of accomplish the same end results?
