The only down fall of useing it on a macbook pro is the same
a useing most any laptop. Grafix. the Mac book pro uses a Radeon
Chip witch is designed for mapping textures not vector line data.
(Gaming vs. CAD) so it can work fine if you use software GL and
turn on the Anti-Alising. oh yeah make sure that you max out the
ram on it also. Remember that the Mac Pro ( the workstation desktop
model) has an option for a QuadroFX card witch is awsome for
SolidWorks.
Only problem we have is hangups caused by the wireless connection (not sw related)
