As I am coming close to an annual subscription renewal, I am wondering if SW has plans to drop Win 7 from support? Has anyone heard anything on this as yet?
SOLIDWORKS 2015 will be supported on Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 - only x64 version, though.
That is highly unlikely. Win 8 doesn't have enough market saturation yet to allow SW to drop support for Win 7.
Agreed. Reports are appearing that show Win8 is losing market share against other Windows versions.
It appears that they are talking about installations rather than sales.
It seems I am not the only one suffering upgrade fatigue.
