    Long filenames created in $LOCALAPPDATA

    Steve Berkeley

Certain API calls create temporary part and assembly files under $LOCALAPPDATA\Temp\swxNNNN\VC~~\... The names of these files are constructed by concatenating the names of all the part's parents in the assembly tree. This composite pathname can easily exceed the Windows limit of 260 characters, causing failure to create the file. Has anyone seen this, and is there any workaround ?

      Thanks!
