Make virtual = Save this part inside the assembly instead of as a separate part.
Configure Component = Define whether a part appears or is suppressed in the different configurations of an assembly.
Isolate = Show only this part.
Component display = Define how the part appears in the assembly.
Fix = Lock in place.
In all cases, F1 is your friend.
A virtual part is a part that is contained only within an assembly. It doesn't have it's own part file.
Configure Component will bring up a table, where you can choose which configuration of the selected component you want to use in each configuration of the assembly. This is a very useful feature.
Isolate will temporarily hide all other components.
Component Display lets you select the display style for the component, such as Shaded with Edges, Hidden Lines Visible, etc. if you want it to display differently from the default.
Fix will lock a component in it's present position without using Mates.
