help files don't work after upgrade to sp2.2

i am upgrading all of our users to sw2007 sp2.2 and after theinstall is done i am copying the updated help files from thedownload section here into the solidworks program directory on thelocal machine. Once the files are copied, they are notaccessible whatsoever. whenever you click on the helpsection, it comes up with a window that either says "actioncancelled" or "page cannot be displayed". hasanyone else had this problem?

Hello,

We also have a problem with the help files after upgrading to2.2

It seems as though the 2.2 help file has been installed properly,it's just that the program itself is still looking for the 1.0 helpfile (and it obviously can't find it).

All of the topics are showing up correctly down the left handside.

If I remember correctly, you can go to the help file and right-click on it and select properties. Under the General Tab there should be a section called Attributes. I believe there is a box you have to uncheck or click allow or something of the sorts that will allow the file to be opened properly. I had the same problem a while back and this fixed it.

  is that within the program, or from an explorer window? ithink i've ruled out windows permissions, so i'll play around withit. for now i just copied the original help files back untili can get this sorted out.

      the only attributes from within the explorer window i can get toare read only and hidden. read only is checked and seems tobe inherited. but the help files should not be writableshould they ?

Hello, we still can't get this to work. SolidWorks is trying tofind the 1.0 help File.

  just as a workaround, i copied the original help files from sp0back into their respective folders. they're supposedly out ofdate, but at least they work...
