hi,
i would like to ask how can i set the load to last for a timing and not on constant load. An example would be a gust of wind. its last for a few seconds but when on constant load it would cause big changes
thanks

hi, sorry for the lack of information. im trying to simulate a how a banner would react to the surrounding wind. the banner work be 8 by 2 m. any recommandation on which simulation i should work on?
i would start with afirst order approximation, apply a force to the banner in a static analysis
if you want to go further, you can run a flow simulation first and then import the pressure distribution
this is covered in the standard training for flow and static analysis. we offer these classes online if you're interested. www.hawkridgesys.com.
are we talking about flow simulation or solidworks simulation (fea/structural analysis)?
if we're talking flow, you need to setup a transient analysis and then use a volume flow rate that changes over time
in simulation, you need linear dynamic - time history or nonlinear dynamic with a force that changes over time.
