Does anyone know how to create a turning profile in Solidworks? Most CAM programs have this feature, but I need to create and save the turned profile as a solid model. This will probably be a Revolved Boss/Base, but merely converting entities on a plane and then revolving those entities doesn't work. In some way, the entire 3d part must be rotated and that swept space converted into a solid. For illustration, I'm attaching a screenshot of the turned profile simulated in ESPRIT CAM software. (ESPRIT users might suggest saving this as an STL in ESPRIT. I've tried it, but then can't open it, for some reason.) Thanks for any help.
