how to draw Groove on a cylindrical rod

HI,

I am trying to draw a groove on a cylindrical rod. I tried drawing the groove using 3-D sketch, but cannot produce the result I wanted and again tried using the WRAP feature but the deboss option does not let me use the reverse direction option to cut the material.

I am looking for some help to model the part. I am attaching an image for better understanding.
