Hello resourceful SW Community,
I came across this problem many times before but I wish to address it once and for all.
Let's say I have a flexible material I can mold it into any kind of shape; the following cylindrical object is what I would like to achieve.
If I were to try to make this with Sweep feature, the following will occur:
What do you suggest to make such part with least amount of pain?
What is your realistic manufacturing tolerance?
Place your path on the inside, not the outside of the bend. Add a tiny fillet radius (well within the manufacturing tolerance).
