Lets say I have a projected curve and normal 2d or 3d curve. I do a loft to crate a surface. Now If I need another loft with same projected curve I can no longer select it to genrate another surface. why?
Limitation of the software. You also can't create a helix from a shared sketch. I'd guess the reason is the curve tools are legacy code predating the SolidWorks 2003 release which was the first release to have shared sketches.
X2 on software limitation. I have talked directly with SW engineers and they know about this issue, but it has been around forever. I don't think they are in any hurry to fix it.
Just make a new sketch on the same plane as the original sketch; convert entities. It is redundant, but it is also simple to do. If you already knew this method sorry for my input.
