Why would I want to create design tree folders? What is the benefit?
We use it to group features together that are related. If you build it right, you can suppress all the features in a folder to temporarily hide something, or maybe for a different configuration. We also like to put our fillets into a folder, just to keep the feature tree a little smaller, unless you are working on fillets.
I do it occasionally for complex parts to group related features and shorten the tree, or in assemblies to group related hardware (bolt, nut, washer, etc.).
We use it to keep related parts in order and clean up the tree.
I like the main inserts shown and o-rings plugs and screws in a folder below the parts
Thanks! That makes sense.
