I have a serial number that works for my version of Solidworks (2012 x64), but there seems to be no part of the software that allows me to key this in. And where is the activation key? Is that the serial number? It seems that you use the serial number to get a key, but then what's the point of having a key? I don't get how activation works. And when I click activate (after not inserting an activation key or serial number (???)), a dialog appears saying that the serial number is not valid, then continues to not allow me to insert one! What is this?
