Hi
I,m doing some architectural metalwork parts. The part i,m trying to achieve is a aluminium feature panel with a polished finish. I want to be able to produce a realistic visualisation. The finalised product will be displayed at a waters edge(I,m not too concerened about the scene at the minute until I get the part right) . I have only started palying about with photoview 360 and i,m unable to achieve anything even close to what I want.
The assembly is only partially drawn at the minute until I see can if I can achieve a desired result. At present the metalwork looks dull and resembles nothing like what I want. Any thoughts how I can get a better image.
There are multiple apperances that you can add to the part (if you arn't familiar with PV360 use the 4 colour sphere tab on the right pop out menu in the default layout of solidworks) Polished Aluminium is probably your starting point but without somthing to reflect in youe scene then you won't be able to tell how it looks (try the Courtyard background as it has a nice contrast between sky and land for visualisation). You may want to try Chrome plate as an apearance rather than polished aluminium (it's a little darker) if you want an even more reflective matirial then go to Glass > Gloss > mirror. When you find the one that is closest you can look into tweaking the matirial to suit.
