Hi. I'm a student doing an internship.

I'm supposed to reengineer a motorcycle tank.

I scanned a glasfiber mole of the tank. The guy who lend me the scanner sent me the attached stl file. Furthere more he send me the solidworks part file where the motorcycle frame and the attactment is visible.

No my problem is that I'm not sure where to go from here.

I have tried many different things, but none really works out. Is the only way to reconstruct this model in solidworks, to draw it manually over the scan? I can not really control the splines i 3d.

Hope you have an idea how I can continue from the scan.
