Hello All,

I just installed SW 2007 X64 as an admin image on our network. It installs fine on all clients, (as a separate install, we also run 2006 SP 5.0)

2006 still works fine, but I can't get 2007 running! I updated to SP2.2 and Cosmos 2.0, still no luck.

What does the codes (-85,147,0) mean?

What order are you installing SW in and are you installing them to different program file folders? Also are you using SNL?

  Don't know what you mean by order, we have the old 2006 admin image; I just made a new r:\admin2007x64 dir and installed the image there. Seems to work fine except from the license problem.

    SNL means a FlexLM license server that floats the licenses so you can install to more people than you have actual licenses. The license software needs to be upgraded for 2007....then it will run both 2007 and 2006.

        Uninstall SolidWorks Network License Server, Install 2007 SolidWorks Network License Server...
        
        I forget if you require an updated snl_license.txt or not. :-)

        Sorry, I misread your original post. BHUGHES1 is right, remove the old SNL and install 2007 SNL. You will need a new set of codes for the SNL server in order to your clients to run 2007 (which can be obtained thru the subscription support portal). You will also be able to continue running older versions of SW as well.

        Whey you say "(which can be obtained thru the subscription support portal)" is this under "My solidWorks products" and then "Get license" ??

        I just spoke to our IT manager, we are running FlexLM v.9.5, which seems to be the latest version seeing here Macrovision website

        Check the license file by opening it in Notepad or Wordpad. There should be a line or lines similar to this;
        
        INCREMENT solidworks SW_D 15.0 31-dec-2099 19 OVERDRAFT=0 SUPERSEDE \
        
        The number after SW_D indicates the version that the license file is for - 15.0 is SW2007, 14.0 is SW2006.
        
        Also, as has already been stated, install the 2007 SNL from the CD/DVD to ensure that you have the latest vendor daemons for Flex. This *shouldn't* have any effect on other Flex licenses - we have 7 non-Solidworks products that are managed by the one license server and they all ran OK after I installed the 2007 license manager.

        From what I remember, if you want to run SW2006 and SW2007 on yournetwork you'll have to move the SW2007 FlexLM to a differentserver. I think they both use the same daemon SW_D which I believewill cause conflicts.
        Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

        This should not be the case. I have 2K6 SNL configured on our server and the clients are running 2K5 while I'm testing 2K6. The daemon (which should only be one) will pickup the request regardless of the version your running as long as it's not newer than what your licensed for.

I can Agree on Kevin, I'm running sw 2004,2005,2006 and sw2007 on the same licensemanager. no problems. If you want to use sw2003 or before, you need an older license manager.
