I need your help in simulating the structure in order to find the lateral and vertical stiffness.

I have attached the image of the structure.

On top of the structure there is a 72mm thick plate on which the compressor is placed.

The compressor is coupled to a motor and there will be 8943 Nm torque applied to the compressor by motor.

Total weight of the compressor is 4000 Kg.

Compressor is centrifugal type.

Beam size : 8 X 8 X 60 Kg/m.

The structure is fixed at the bottom and the plate and structure is welded together.

Please guide me on how to find the lateral and vertical stiffness of the structure.

wouldn't you run a load, measure max displacement and use those values to calculate the stiffness?

to get lateral and vertical, you would just use 2 different loading conditions?
