Ok so you can see in the attached image, that if my balloon is pointing at an item I get one call out, but if its placed on the item I get a different call out. Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it.
Scott - Is Item 1 a sub-assembly that was pulled into another assembly? If so, that is why you are seeing this happen. What does Item 1 say it is in the BOM?
No the valve is the only sub assembly in there, and its not just this model that it is happening to.
If you are talking about the top two balloons, (items 1 and 2) it almost looks like item one is pointing to the roll pin in the center of the hole.
#2 & #1 at the top are the same part, #1 & #4 in the middle are also on the same part, and #1 & #13 are also on the same part, the leaders on the #1's are placed on the part where the other numbers are on an outer edge.
Can you provide a screen shot of the BOM?
What version of SW are we talking here.
We are using 2014, had the issue with SP0, SP1 and just put SP2 on this morning with same issue. Here is a screen shot with BOM
My first guess would be that the "face" attached balloons are actually attached to components in the alternate position view rather than to the base view. And that the alternate position view is not linked to the BOM.
I suspect the same thing in that I see the BOM has the "Default/QTY" heading....which is typical when you have more than one configuration involved. Scott....you mentioned other models having the same issue. Are those other models being shown on the drawing with "Alternate Views" and/or multiple configurations?
