i am using solidworks composer my problem is that the i created the animation using the composer . the total length of my animation is 660 sec still when i am generating the animation file it is giving me error video file and file size is more then the 16 GB. so please help me out with this
When working with long videos, any video actually, I will render out the frames using the High Res workshop. This workshop will sequence the frames based on your chosen frame rate. From there I'll pull me into a video editing tool such as Adobe Premier. A couple of nice things come from this process:
- you can publish to any video format you like for your needs
- you can use a profile that is consistent across many projects thus having a consistent look
- the images can be rendered with the alpha channel turned on providing for composite videos
- if you need to rerender a section, only those sequenced images will be rerendered. Premier's project can simply be republished

Your going to need to export your video in 2 GB chunks and stitch them together in a after program like windows movie maker.
Just a little extra information what I and most people do is export the animation as hi resolution images at 30fps and input into a video software. I use Adobe Premier Pro but there are several cheaper and possibly even free options. This will give you the best quality video as the AVI directly from Composer in my opinion is sub par. Also this way you will be able to export your entire animation and will not need to break into smaller chunks since it is only saving images.. Make sure you set your screen size to your desired output also. I use 1920 x 1080 full HD so my paper space set to 406.4 x 228.6.
