When I first started making a BOM for an assembly, I inserted excel based bom, copied the table from solidworks, and used paste link to move into excel. This way, when I update a part description for example, it automatically updates in excel. This worked fine for a few sessions but then randomly excel prompted, "This workbook contains links to other data sources. If you update the links, Excel will attempt to retrieve the latest data......" when I went to open the excel worksheet. I selected update and my linked table spit back #REF! error in each cell and for the life of me I can't figure out why or how this link is broken. I've tried redoing the pasted link which works fine until I attempt to open the workbook a second time. Any suggestions?
