hello,
I want to use a composer file in google sketchup
i have a .smg and i want to convert it in a skp file.
if i first convert it to 3ds and then inport it in sketchup and save it as a sketchup file it is very big.
i only need the 3d model and not the information the the file.
Does anybody now how to convert it to sketchup and not make the output to big?
Wouter
Have a look at the Simplification workshop. You'll probably find that the triangle count is fairly high for your purposes. I'd first start by removing the smallest components, then decimate some of the models that have curved surfaces. This will reduce the number of triangles. Once you have done this continue on the process that you have been performing to get the files into SketchUp.
