Hi,
Just started using SW fulltime (I'm used to Inventor), so there's a small transistion phase...
Anway, I got this assembly with 10 parts in it, I want to give 7 of these parts a different color, yet still be able to quickly switch back to the default colors.
I belive the feature is called level of detail in Inventor.
John,
You can apply colors to parts that only are used in the assembly, so when you open the parts in their own windows they have the original color. Does that meet your needs?
You can also assign different colors to parts in different display states. You can quickly switch between display states.
You can also assign different colors to different configurations of the parts. This is likely to take more resources and be a bit slower than display states, which is why (I think) display states were developed.
