Hello! I need help trying to fill a gap between a boundary surface and a solid body.
SW2013 won't let me do a boss so I had to use a bound. surface.
Oops here is the part. In order to merge a solid and a surface you need to make the solid a surface body by deleting a surface off of the solid. I'm sorry I am not explaining to well. I am just about ready to head home for the night and hurrying. Tom
I believe that is what the intersect feature is for (not positive, since I am still on 2012).
but did you try a boundary Boss instead of a boundary surface?
Your model doesn't contain a solid body but I did fill the "gaps" you speak of.
This was done with SW 2013 and I used the "Fill Surface" command. I hope this helped.
Just realized the solid-body is present. Still, I hope this helped.
Thanks for the Help Rich! But I'm trying to figure out how to merge the hollow portions into a solid. I did manage to use boundary boss on the rear portion of the grip, now the front portion needs is being very stubborn.
Got it. Thanks.
What you need to do is delete the top and bottom faces also the two outside faces using the "delete face" command in surfacing knit them together and recreate the solid. You might have to turn off and back on the surfaces you created on the sides.
Wow! That's awesome! Thanks Tom!
